Learn More About Healing Crystals Hawaii

By Jose Murray

Basically, crystal healing is an option to the conventional treatment and involves use of crystals or stones such as quartz for treatment and prevention of diseases. This form of treatment is a pseudoscientific means of treatment and those who have tried this method claim that the stones truly offer the cure although this form of treatment is not scientifically proven. However, healing crystals Hawaii has become popular as people have been cured by exuding positive energy.

In one instance, the crystal expert places the stones on various parts of the body usually related to chakras, while in other instances, the stones are placed all over the body in order to come up with an energy grid that works to surround the patient with healing energy. Regardless of this, scientific research still has not proven that chakras or any form of energy fields are existent. In fact, it is assumed that crystal treatment does not necessarily treat diseases but it just provides the placebo effect hence it being pseudoscience.

Generally, practitioners in Hawaii selects their stones for treatment based on color and metaphysical features. They then place them at different parts on the body of the client. Their selection method may also depend on basic rules on chakras, grounding and energy grids.

Also, the concept of chakras cannot be proven through scientific research and the various terms used such as energy grids, grounding are simply used to convince individuals on credibility and importance of this treatment. For instance, the term energy is usually a scientific word which refers to something which can be measured, but this is usually different from concepts of crystal practitioners.

There are a number of cultures that practice this form of treatment and that began years ago. For instance, Hopi Native Americans from Arizona, Hawaiian Islanders and the Chinese who use Jade crystals.

As stated earlier, no scientific research supports how crystal treatment works and whether it has any effects. Due to it being pseudoscience, any past successes may only be attributed to the placebo effect; which refers to the feeling produced by a placebo which in this case is a harmless procedure prescribed for the psychological benefit to the patient other than the physiological impact.

The critics of this kind of healing claim that this method works due to various reasons. First, they claim that this method works because of a cognitive bias since those people who believe in it hold on the belief that it does work and, therefore, get the results they expected. For instance, a research on how crystals cure illness showed that both the patients treated using stones and real crystals experienced the same effect.

This technique is also applicable on animals but still caution needs to be taken by pet owners since it is not scientifically proven. Veterinary advice needs to be sought out first before opting to seek crystal treatment. As it happens with other techniques that are nonscientific, crystal treatment may be dangerous as people delay going after effective treatment.
