The Head Of Product For Linkedin Deep Nishar Announces Departure

By Hajj Isa

Deep Nishar, the head of product at LinkedIn, has announced his departure from the company. Nishar has been with the company for six years, having previously worked for Google in a similar product management capacity. He recently joined a number of boards, including the board of Auction.com.

It is hard to say how much will change but with any company, something like this means there will be some changes. It might take some time for the company to figure out what they will do in regards to his position. They will need to hire someone else and that will also change the company a little bit.

Nishar's last day with LinkedIn will be October 3rd. He will be handing over the oversight for the product to the company's CEO, Jeff Weiner. Jeff has been with LinkedIn for almost as long as Nishar, having joined LinkedIn from Yahoo. Nishar issued a statement of his own, saying that he is passionate about building and leading companies which have the potential to make a significant positive impact on the world. He hopes that he will have the opportunity to do the same thing again at his next company.

LinkedIn is an incredibly popular business networking site, and many people use it as a part of their daily routine. It is used by headhunters and recruiters, executives, employees, PR and the press. What started initially as a simple "online CV" has since turned into an integral part of day to day business for many niches.

The future of the website looks bright and most likely it is only going to get better. No matter who takes Deep Nishar's position, we can be sure that whatever choices that are made are done with the companies' best interests at heart.

Nishar's departure is amicable. LinkedIn issued a statement thanking Mr Nishar for all of his hard work, and wishing him all the best in his next venture. Nishar will continue to work with LinkedIn, acting as an advisor to Jeff Weiner while Weiner takes over the product responsibilities.
